Lindsey and I sat down and rifled through our extensive font library to choose our favorite fonts. We use Suitcase Fusion 3 to manage our font library. While you can go as far as to classify your fonts into very specific subgroups (SERIF – Old Style, Transitional, Modern, Slab Serif andSANS-SERIF – Grotesque, Transitional, Humanist, Geometric), we found that a more intuitive form of organization works better. We’ve divided our fonts into folders including Sans Serif, Serif, Script Formal, Script Casual, Hand-Inked Refined, Hand-Ink Rough, Distressed, Ornaments, Playful, Western-Circus, Whimsical, and even Script Serif for hybrid fonts, likeMemoriam Pro, that aren’t purely Script and not quite Serif. The pie chart below represents how we’ve organized our library. If you’re in a design crunch, you may be inspired by some of the choices we included in our typography infographic.
